This policy explains what information Skin Savvy Medical Spa collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It applies to this website and to the phone, email and text message channels we use to communicate with you.
Text messaging and your mobile number
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We collect your mobile number only when you give it to us: in person at one of our locations, over the phone, on an intake or booking form, or in a message you send us. When you provide your number and agree to receive text messages, you are agreeing to receive messages from us about appointments, consultations and offers.
Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchase or of receiving care.
Message frequency varies, typically 2 to 6 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP, or by telling us in any other reasonable way, including by phone, email or in person. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent they need it to do that work. Examples are our scheduling and customer relationship software, our messaging provider, and our payment processor. These providers are contractually restricted to using the information for the service they provide to us.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our patients, our staff or the public.
As stated above, mobile opt-in data and SMS consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, and for as long as the law requires. Records of opt-out requests are retained indefinitely so that we do not contact someone who has asked us to stop.
Your choices
- Stop text messages. Reply STOP to any message, or ask us by any other means. We will action it promptly and in all cases within 10 business days.
- Access or correct your information. Contact us and we will help.
- Ask us to delete your information. Contact us. Note that some records must be retained by law, and opt-out records are always retained so that your request continues to be honoured.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website and our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
